Biting the Apple…
by admin on Nov.12, 2007, under Computers, MacOSX, Technology
Today I will order ordered my first Apple notebook: a MacBook Pro with a 2,4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo.
It should arrive at the end of the week.
I was in the need to buy a new laptop, the old one was too… ehm… old. I know it’s very easy to find a good Windows capable laptop for half the price of the MacBook I’m going to buy but… after more than a year of use of my PowerMac Dual G5 with MacOSX Tiger… I simply can’t go back using again a laptop capable of running only Windows (and not, unfortunately Linux is not an option for me, at least not for my job needs).
I will write my impressions about my first experience with it as soon as it arrives.
Now I am sure that Apple will upgrades the MacBook Pro line of product just after mine has arrived

My friend AFXGroup released a new version of his AmigaOS 4 port of MPlayer. This version is capable of playing many more video formats and has a lot of bugfix. Great work Andrea!
